Arlene's Story
Arlene's Story
It’s often the act of reaching out that counts the most. Arlene has always done that, offering a helping hand to anyone who needs it. She was a teacher for 20 years, and had to quit because of the kidney disease. Since her first transplant she has volunteered extensively for New England Donations Services, including lecturing at high schools, colleges, and med schools.
Her life matters to her and to her family and friends. She’s a Jersey girl who has been living in Massachusetts for decades, has written two books, adopted a child from Colombia, worked in health care, and loves animals. Arlene has had many dogs and cats, the most recent two have been rescues from Manhattan; a Golden-Chow mix and a Papillon-Pomeranian mix.
Arlene and her husband are taking great delight in the lives of their 4 children and seven grandchildren.
